Paris, France

Honestly, I couldn’t remember much about Paris, except that their architecture is so beautiful, and I really, really wished I came to Paris with my family so they could appreciate these views with me.

The whole place was so pretty in its own way. I can’t really describe it, the aura from the houses and buildings all give off a similar attractive aura. We wanted to take the hot air balloon at this gorgeous looking park with so many people just relaxing and the kids having some outdoor fun. But we didn’t manage to because the weather was too windy for the hot air balloon to fly.

Instead, we ended up buying macaroons from Laduree, which was really good, it wasn’t too sweet! So, we were not too depressed about the hot air balloon (I think). The funniest thing was we were craving for bubble tea so bad, we actually forego-ed most of our plans after looking at Eiffel tower in the day, just to fulfill our cravings. BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT.

We walked from our accommodation to each location including the Eiffel tower the whole of the three days. It was far but the sights made it worth the walk. I think I keep repeating the same thoughts over and over again, but even the places that weren’t the popular areas also had this pretty feel to it.

We had lots of fun at the Eiffel tower in the day and at night. We saw so many tourists doing their own thing and putting their online footprint on Eiffel, from serenading the camera with a Chinese song in front of the Eiffel, to taking perfect wedding shots, to people just drinking and dancing along. There were so many people simply enjoying and relaxing by the grass, or the benches with their families and all. There was even this super cute Indian family that was singing and dancing together and recording the whole experience with a lot of love.

We also played a lot with the Paris Snapchat filters, and just stood in the middle trying to get a prefect Snapception. And somehow ended up finding a beautiful angle to take a photo with the Eiffel HAHA. We felt so proud of ourselves after finding the ‘perfect Eiffel photo’ :p

I could really feel the love and passion from all around, no matter what race the people were. It was an amazing feeling, getting to see everyone around you just being real happy with not much care in the world..

Eiffel Tower at night was SPLENDID.

Its lights turn gold and keeps being animated every 1 hour for 10 minutes, which was amazing to watch I loved it. And of course, the carousel was even prettier at night. (It was a little funny to see models and wed couples shooting in front of it at night when it is so crowded there, but hey hope their photos turns out nice)

THE SECOND MUST GO ATTRACTION HERE is DEFINITELY THE LOUVRE!

I really really liked the exhibitions because it has a bit of everything in it, and of course the famous Mona Lisa. This was the place that received…too much love. haha everyone was so focused on getting a perfect shot of the Mona Lisa. But, really their exhibitions are really worth the visit! It felt perfect to me, especially when the place is like a palace?! We took 3 hours to walk around BUT still did not manage to finish looking at all of the exhibitions!!

We also saw an artist painting a mural with just chalk on the floor near the entrance of the subway near the Louvre. So cool.

For Paris, I definitely recommend getting the accommodation nearer to the city center, because the walk from outside the city center is pretty far, unless you do not mind paying for the train rides. And if you are going to the airport and taking the train, just spend that 10€ on it and not try to bypass the law with normal train tickets because the gantries to take the train that leads to the airport are different from the normal ones!

OH, and do not ever buy train tickets from people who are selling it to you when you are queuing at the ticket machine. They say it is actually a child’s ticket, but they sell it at the adult rate, so you may not be able to exit at some stations. THANKFULLY, we exited the train station safely with the tickets that I bought from the conman phew. (I’m sorry Cherrybelly I didn’t know he was a conman I sincerely thought he was one of the staff even though there were tell-tale signs that he wasn’t.)
