Try a stay at Pantai Indah Lagoi Bintan
We could never pass up the chance for a holiday whenever there is a long weekend. My family and I hopped on a 45-minute ferry ride from Singapore to Bintan to re-energise ourselves at Pantai Indah Lagoi Bintan.
We found out about the resort by chance on TikTok. Surprisingly, this recommendation turned out to be an amazing choice! So, you actually get two stamps of approval for this resort in Bintan.
Reception
Pantai Indah Lagoi Bintan is a high-end resort which delivers great service and well-kept rooms. It has 99 luxury pool villas that comes in configurations of one-, two- or four-bedroom options. The rooms are delicately inspired by traditional Balinese architecture with modern touches.

Private Pool
You can swim all day and all night (which I did!)
I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the pool is. It is clean and is actually of a reasonable size (Pool size: W 2.8m x L 6.15m x D 1.45m) that makes it comfy enough to swim a few laps or just float around. The pool also comes with a gazebo, which makes for aesthetic pictures and also a place to rest outdoors (although when it rains, a bit of the rainwater seeps through the gazebo). Occasionally, leaves will also fall in the pool, but no biggie.
Just remember to bring your own floats.
Beautiful Villa
The villa itself is fully self-sufficient too, and you can add a spare bed to fit three pax in one villa. The living room and the bedroom is equipped with individual controlled air conditioning. For the environmentally conscious, you can control what you turn on and off.
The villa comes with an open-air bathroom, bathtub and shower. It felt way too spacious for a bathroom, but I’ll take it! There will be small bugs flying in at night though, but you can generally ignore them as they will be gone in the morning.
Another open-air space is the dining room which is adjacent to the living room. The weather was blazing hot, but you feel cool sitting under the shelter and a fan. It comes fully equipped with a kitchenette-bar, microwave oven, fridge & kettle, and coffee & tea. The dining table fills up the space too.
The villa space felt really private, and you hardly feel disturbed by your neighbours. The villas are all lined along greenery, which helps to lift your mood too.
Great Service
The staff were pleasant and helpful from the start till the end. There is a free pickup-sendoff shuttle from the ferry terminal, and all you had to do is drop them an email beforehand. Their response time was really quick, and they were also able to advise us the timing we should depart for check-out. Even the buggy service to shuttle you around within the resort is fast, and the staff will always greet you with a smile.
Upon checking-in, a staff will be there to show you around the villa and explain everything to you. Everyone is super attentive and polite, including the staff at the front desk and the restaurant.
Activities & Services
If you are up for some activities, they provide an interesting range of activities. There is a Gunung Bintan Adventure trek, Mangrove discovery tour or Bintan city tour. If you are lazy, there are rentals for ATV, bikes, electric vehicle, archery, stand up paddling, kayak etc. You can even rent mahjong.
If you are even lazier, there are free board games that you can borrow at the reception, or have the spa come over to your villa for a massage!
Beach Views
Since it is located near a beach, we can easily walk over to enjoy the sun and sea. You can explore and walk all the way down the seabed during the low tide and do water activities when the tide is high. YOu can also play beach volleyball and soccer.
If you want to see some nightlife, you can take a 10-minute ride out of the resort to Lagoi Bay beach to enjoy more activities and catch the sunset! There are also restaurants there and a bar. There are convenience stores too.
Great Place to Unwind
This has been an enjoyable resort, and it was a great place to relax and unwind.
How to Get There
Book your seats with Bintan Resort Ferries online. Collect your tickets at the counter at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and hop on the ferry to Bandar Bentan Telani. You only need to check in luggage that is bigger than cabin size. If not, you can carry the luggage along with you.
There is not much food options at Tanah Merah, so eat a heavy breakfast before heading to the terminal. Also, be prepared for strong waves along the journey if you are easily prone to seasickness.
Tip: Look out for discounts too! For example, Trust Card currently offers up to 10% discount for roundtrip ferry tickets.
